My dear friends here in the Traditionals forum, I'm excited. No, I'm PSYCHED. Katie and I just got back from our first ultrasound and finally got to see our new addition for the first time. Man, that was just incredible to see. It's still hard to believe that I had my first glimpse at my first child. The Doc said everything looked very good, and we got to hear the strong, healthy heartbeat. I even recorded it on my phone. :D

I feel like celebrating, so I thought I'd hold my first giveaway here. Up for grabs is this:

A nice stainless Case medium stockman in bone. Forgive me, I don't know the exact name for that style of bone at the moment, my mind is elsewhere. The bone has a greenish tint to it. Its in nice shape, and has been carried and sharpened. There are some blade rub marks here and there, but hey, it's a user. Enjoy it. I love the long, slender clip blade on this one!

That being said, I'm opening this giveaway up to all regular contributors of the Traditional forum, located anywhere. I won't take no for an answer, so all "not an entry" posts will be counted as such. If you don't have use for it, pass it on to someone who will, just let me know about it. I'm here to spread the good word of traditional cutlery. ;)

Just posting "I'm in" will work, but if you feel inclined, post a picture of something you love. It can be your family, a pet, a place, a knife, a hobby, or whatever makes you happy.

I'll let this run through Sunday evening and then pick a winner via random number generator.

Have fun, and good luck!
-Dan

Thanks for the love, Dan. I think that is called "6.5 Bone Stag" by Case. I'm in, for sure.

Congratulations Dan! What an amazing adventure you are on. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love being a Dad.

Here is a picture from last November of my son, standing between me and my Dad. Doesn't seem like that long ago my wife and I were right where you are today. Three weeks ago he asked the most wonderful woman to be his wife, and so the cycle continues.

Yikes, LeatherMan! That almost made me spit out my coffee!

Thanks for the entries, everyone! Doug, Jeff, you have a lot to be proud of!

Congrats, Dan! I remember seeing the first ultrasound of my daughter's beating heart: it's like a switch flipped in my head....she immediately became the number 1 priority in my life! Enjoy the moment....diaper duty to follow. :p Best of luck.

Congratulations to you and Katie. And a grand gesture on your part.:thumbup:

Congratulations again Dan. Your head must be in a whirl, I know the feeling well after having three kids myself, and now being a proud grandfather (and godfather now to boot) :)

Here's me with my grandaughter Lilah a few months back :)

That's a great-looking knife there, all the better for seeing a bit of use. Please count me in and Good Luck to everyone

Very kind of you, sir

Congrats on the new addition to the family, keep us updated! :)

(by the way, count me in!)

Congratulations Dan!
Those crazy kids can be real fun sometimes! One day you'll be able to root him/her on in some activity they love! Here's my youngest son gettin' on it!

Ray Winstone! The little gal is a cute one :).

Dan, congratulations, and thanks for the chance. Best of luck and health to you and your family! A gentleman at work is named Dan also, and we have similar last names. When it was known that his wife was with child, I received a flood of congratulatory emails. Took me a minute, I was perplexed, and was waiting for someone to serve me papers or some such...

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm in. Here's a photo of my two grandkids. They're so much fun! :)

Congratulations!!! Seems like yesterday I was looking at my little girls ultrasound pics. Here she is watering her flowerbed, which is quite grown now. Speaking of which, growing and watching my daughter grow are things I enjoy. Here's wishing you all the best!
