...I got the impression Chris B. was waiting more eagerly than myself for my Bowie to arrive... ;)

Holy @%#$ this is one serious piece of steel. The sheer weight is amazing, the deep black-blue hue of the blade and handle, the leather grip...
Scaringly sharp too. I didn't however find that out the hard way like with my Benchmade a few weeks ago :D ...

One slight point of criticism: The sheath is just not up there with the blade. It looks and feels a bit cheap. I figure however it better be up to its task -though I don't intend to actually use mine.
I'd be getting VERY ugly looks if I walked downtown with this weapon -this IS one, let's face it- attached to my belt.

I might however decide to take it with me on a future Scandinavian hiking-trip like I made five years ago. The only place in Europe where there's actually nobody around to frown upon my knife!
I love the sharpening stone in the sheath; I smoothened the edges a bit to make it more edge-friendly.

So...; I'm happy. I'd seen from pics the sheath wasn't too high-end, but the knife itself delivers exactly what I expected.

One question for Ron: The little paper cushion that came with the knife looks like a silicone-cushion for moisture-absorbation; it feels however slightly different from one. Does it have any kind of use I didn't expect it to have...?

ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Bowie is a truly awesome knife! Treat her well and she will last a lifetime and them some!:D Enjoy!!!!

Hi Peter,

It's always great to hear from satisfied customers and I'm glad you like your knife.

Regarding the "paper cushion," that would be desiccant. It dries the air inside the knife's plastic baggie to prevent corrosion.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
