I just want another because, I just do. I really like the look of Sebenzas, but that price  If you have any ideas for knives that a good day to day knife, let me know. I actively use, right now, a Rat 1 and Mini Grip. I will probably end up with a Seb at the end of the year, but I don't know. I am looking for something at about $150 or under. Any helpers out there?

Your looking for a folder for under $150 but want a sebenza? Well buy a sebenza AND a another folder for $150! I have been looking at a BM adamas and want one really bad. I just handled one today and now I think its time to buy one...just have to get off my wallet.

I am not sure if I want to get a Sebenza yet. I think I would be too scared to use it outside :) but I think I will start with a higher end folder first.

BM 940 and thank me later... seriously, just do it. Then get the Sebenza (large micarta insingo) :-)

^^^this also. I love my 943. Their are soooo many great knives out there. I also was scared to use my sebensa's at first. Now they have a lot of love marks, to say the least. I have dropped them on cement and beat them up pretty badly, I love using them.

Get a few more expensive knives before you move on to midtechs. For example, Benchmade Adamas. Or a a ZT 0200.

How about Spyderco Gayle Bradley, probably the best folder out there for under 150 $.:)

Why not try a completely different flavour and pick up a traditional pattern?

Good luck, OP :)

I have a thing for carbon fiber but that aside I still have to highly recommend the Sage 1 and the Gayle Bradley.

I think the Sage 1 was the first knife I ever owned with a sub 3" blade that had a handle I really liked. Normally the handle on that size blade is a little too small but not with the Sage. (and I imagine the whole Sage series) I'm happy with the S30V you get and the liner lock is sufficient for most tasks.

The Gayle Bradley had a blade size I'm more used to in the mid 3"-4" range. Of course it's great to get the M4 blade and the shape is very useful and simple. The liner lock is WIDE and instills confidence that the user can do just about anything they need to without failure. In short, it's a beast.

The GB is a little heavier than the Sage 1 but I believe they're both worth owning. Did I mention they're both carbon fiber? :D

So now I have a large carbon fiber Sebenza 21 and love it. You'll reach point where you're comfortable buying a $300+ knife soon enough but until then, keep getting the ones in your comfort range.

The BM 710 would be a really great transition/upgrade from the Rat 1.
Very comparable size wise, but the 710 is much more refined... higher quality in almost every way and more blade length in the same size.

The 940 is probably the best in between big/little, as its very small but packs a nice blade length.
