How about cruising through a little knife history. Let's answer our all time favorite question:

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE FIXED AND FOLDING KNIVES?

Only this time, we are going to limit ourselves to knives available on or before 1970.

Buck 110 folder.
Camillus, Ka-Bar and Ontario Military style fixed blades, namely the USMC version from each.

I'm not sure if my spelling is correct, but the spanish navaja style, with deep clip bowie blade, about 5 inch blade. Cold steel droped the ball when they tried to make a new one. E

Schrade Walden Bowie Hunter for the fixed blade, Case Texas Jack knife for the folder, also carried a Queen Steel Trapper.

Some of those Vietnam era $25 Randalls would be nice. We should also throw in as many old Case knives as we can carry.

Randall and Buck rule, although Marbles, and Morseth are also good choices.

Scottish Dirk!!!! I love the Randall #1, and the USMC Ka-Bar, but them dirks are pretty, functional, and come in a sheath that will put the others to shame

The upscale western WESTMARK series was very nice. The 8" bowie and the model 701 skinner are long time favorites of mine. Even better these knives came complete with very well made leather sheaths. They were early custom quality production pieces.
