These are two that I've been working on inbetween forging sessions. Seems like the forge sways me from getting knives done this time of year. I'm sure it has to do with the warm glow..... Both these blade were forged from old saw steel but not shear steel. Both are around 5 1/2" with osage orange handles with blackwood accents.

Ray, that's a handsome pair! I have a chunk of osage orange I got in an Iron in the Hat drawing, I see I need to saw it up and use some.

Great work Ray, I definatly like the style knives you've been making, there's something about the lines and flow to them that I just love.

Keep it up, and what's next?!

Will, Whats next? At this time I've got at least 50 blades forged and heat treated and I'm getting burnt out. Really need to get a bunched finished but I've been getting the itch for doing some hawks again. I see that being my next interruption. This style I've been doing I believe is something in my blood. I made a few knives when I was 14 and the style I did then is real simular to what I'm doing now.
