Ivan Boggs Damascus Bowie...information requested

Hello, my best buddy got the Christmas gift of a lifetime. His brother gave him the attached Boggs bowie. I wanted to show it to you all and also request any information about the knife or the maker.

All we know is that this one or one like it was supposedly featured on the cover of Blade Mag at some point. Also, apparently Ted Turner has one just like this one.

We think that Mr. Boggs is primarily a damascus maker and did not make many knives. He is a Ga. Tech graduate and lives in North Georgia now?

Any information is appreciated.

I don't know much about Ivan Boggs other than the fact that he is a blacksmith that says he is not much of a forger.
