My friend, Brazilian knifemaker Ivan Campos, sent me a sweet little Kiridashi today for use as either a neck knife, or in my case, a whittling blade.
The knife features 5160 edge hardened steel and a traditional Japanese style wrap over black Same (ray skin).
OAL is about 5.5 inches with a cutting edge of 1.125 inches.
A stout, comfortable, well made knife.
Looking forward to letting some chips
fly!
