My friend, Brazilian knifemaker Ivan Campos, sent me a sweet little Kiridashi today for use as either a neck knife, or in my case, a whittling blade.

View

The knife features 5160 edge hardened steel and a traditional Japanese style wrap over black Same (ray skin).

OAL is about 5.5 inches with a cutting edge of 1.125 inches.

A stout, comfortable, well made knife.

Looking forward to letting some chips
fly!

Blues- one of these is somewhere in between Brazil and MN. heading for me. I've had other kiridashis I used for leather and craft work and can hardly wait to check this one out.
