Jim Hegman was a friend and coworker of mine for years when I lived in Pensacola. I tied ratlines onto that boat, and spent hours hanging out on his boat discussing sailing and solving all the world's problems.

Wow! That sucks, poor guy must be heartbroken after all that work. i wonder why he didnt move her up the coast though?

This guy is a mechanical designer by trade, a long-time sailor, and generally a smart guy. I imagine he thought he had it well secured where it was.

I hate to hear about peoples' homes destroyed like that. At least he made it through himself.
