I'm not a knife expert by any means, but for an overall great knife....I would suggest you give Ivan Campos a call(okay, you can e-mail/PM him)!

The knife I ordered arrived very well packaged. Always a great plus to avoid any mishandling by postal employees.... I know a few, and they like to drop kick packages for the fun of it.
The finish on my knife is great! No spots, no severe grinding marks, and no pits on the blade of any kind could be found. Blade is a flat grind, nor mirrored finish(just the way I like I like my knives), and could be considered a drop point design. I have no way of testing the metal, and will just be happy with what it is. Ivan advertises metal to be 5160, and I'm sure it is.
Blade lenght is: 3.920" (99.57mm)
Blade width at handle: 0.150" (3.84mm)
Overall lenght is: 8" exactly (232.2mm)
The handle is wrapped with parachute cord(type 550 OD green), and offers a very good fit in my hand with no slip. No one wants to handle a knife that slips around while cutting. Under parachute cord is a rubbery type epoxy finish(not sure what it is), and I'm pretty sure that this substance is to keep handle area from rusting due to sweat from hands.

Cutting: Very good! Not going to sit around and cut up a thousand feet of rope to see how long blade stays sharp! Can say that I have cut up two big chunks of steak(T-bone), and sharpened a pencil....and both acts of cutting were completely effortless!

If you want a good fixed blade knife, give Ivan Campos Pardal a look. I'm glad I did!!!

Campos's earlier knives were explicitly concentrated on being "pocket swords" rather than utility, thus the thick stock & narrow grinds, which make really mean cuts in meat. His Spartan knives appear to be geared more towards general utility.

Just finished up the first month with this knife! And I'm still very impressed with the quality. Have done everything as far as "normal" cutting tasks with this knife.....ans I still haven't needed to sharpen it! I just sliced a tomato with it in the garden(short time ago), and she glided right through.
The 550 cord for the handle wrap is still holding up well....it does collect some "grit and grime", but it is a wrap. When it finally breaks or wears out, I'll try to find somebody to re-finish it with wood of some sort.

Outstanding product!
