I customized this Delica and then have made it a SAFE QUEEN!
Worse yet, the knife I keep next to the bed because it is so scary sharp that it cuts articles and coupons out of the paper with NO effort.

Well, today July 4, 2008...it is going in my POCKET!

I was wanting to keep it PRISTINE....and for WHAT? Or for WHOM?

It is such a joy to use that I am GOING TO. The gimping just GLUES it to your thumb.

I confess I have been an IDIOT!

:(:foot::D

Jeez, that's nice. You're a braver man than I am though, I would be afraid to "use" and possibly damage it.

That is a beautiful job!
Now put that sweet baby in your pocket and carry it. Something that nice should be carried.:D

Go away! Go far away. Shut up! Go away!
I've been listening to that SAME argument in my head for a YEAR!

Go......away......

:D

You hear voices in your head too? They're not so bad,ya just gotta figure out when to pay attemtion to em and when not.

Of course the meds do help.

Don't use it, or you'll regret it. Keep it by your bed. Better yet, put the knife in the safe and buy a gun for your night table!

That's the thing about using expensive knives. Putting anything in my pocket is like sending it on a one-way trip to the Bermuda Triangle. I don't know where they go. Eventually they pop up in a pant's pocket or somewhere, but right now I'm missing my CRKT S2, which is as close as I'll ever get to a Sebenza! I can find all my other knives, but the S2 is MIA for now.

Your best bet is to go to a Wal*Mart and get one of the remaining few Spyderco Natives. For some reason, either Wal*Mart or Spyderco is discontinuing them. You'll still be able to shave the newsprint off a magazine, but for a paltry forty bucks.

And it's purty, too.

I have a Spyderedge Native so that won't help.
I want to carry IT too.

That's the problem with getting GOOD knives.

CHOICES!! I'm getting too old to make choices. Perhaps a caregiver could hand me my daily knife.

But then I'd MODIFY it so it couldn't be replaced by a simple trip to Walmart.

So I could WORRY about it.

When I bought the Native, the checkout gal at Sportsman's Warehouse looked at it and said "OH that's a PRETTY knife!"

Arrrrrggghhh

I say "use it"! I've had a few over the years that I was worried about using because they were beautiful and high priced. Now that I use them all they have become more beautiful over time and worth much, much more to me than the original price tag. No safe Queens here! Someone once said "Life is to short to carry an ugly knife." Enjoy it, M

Lavan,
Put it in your pocket and use it!! Life is too short not to. Think of all the estate sales that "give" knives away. I remember My Grandfather and his nephew discussing pocket knives, and they figured on about a 3 to 4 year life span. This is from use and not abuse.
And what the heck, when we reach the clearing at the end of the trail, our kids will probably have them on e-Bay anyway!! Dean

Just as you lay out your daily medication so you don't forget.
Lay out your daily knives.
Each one gets a turn.

Nice knife.
Glad for you that you are going to use it.
An unused knife is spoilt, as it serves no purpose.
