So I was never a spyderco fan for years until I got a ffg endura 4 about 6 months ago, then at blade show I bought a para 2. My dad is in the Knifemakers guild(hunters and skinners no folders) and Ive had a lot of custom knives and Ive got to say the para 2 is my favorite knife and I want to try more ffg spydercos. So what should I try next? manix2?

How about the PM2's big brother the Military. They make a great pair.

LOL.... I know what you mean. I've been a knife enthusiast for YEARS. All customs from Emerson, Sibert, Begg, Doucette, Reeve, Hinderer, Strider, and on, and on. Until recently I picked up a Yojimbo 2. Very Impressed!!! So much so that I have gone on a buying spree of Spyderco's.

Incoming:

Para 1- bought here on the forums
Para 2- got here on the forum for a trade
Stretch- in ZDP-189
Tenacious- bought here from a member
Native

Just can't get enough of them... lol :adoration:

I received my Yojimbo 2 just a few days ago. It has nothing in the looks department but it's a superb cutter and EDC for L.A. (3" blade length). It weighs just 4 ounces with a thick spine. Ample self-defense capabilities.

Other than the must-have Millie and Para2 the other very impressive Spydercos for me that I have are: Tuff, Techno, Bradley, Southard and Caly3 (CF scales and 3" ZDP-189 laminated blade).

The Southard is my favorite and a smooth flipper with CTS-204P steel which is very similar to M390.

The Bradley (C134CF) folder is my second favorite and a more traditional Spyderco with CPM-M4 steel.

The Tuff is the toughest Spyderco with CPM 3V steel.

The Techno is a mini tank with a 2.55" blade (0.177" thick) of CTS XHP steel.

With as many FFG blades as Spyderco has, I'd recommend diving into a couple of their funkier designs. The Yojimbo2 isn't a FFG, but it's hollow-grind cutting power is ridiculous. And if you're a fan of the Endura, you'll probably love the Stretch. Not quite as large as the Endura, but better ergos, IMO. Also, I have to recommend the Gayle Bradley to anyone who is new to Spydies.

As said the Milli, but the stretch is also a nice knife. I really love my MT 17 k390, make me wonder why i need 30 folders.

Once you get a Para-2, the rest is all about your preference.

I recommend trying out one of the TaiChung made knives as well as a Seki City made one.

If you like beefier knives, go with something like a Gayle Bradley

If you prefer more compact lightweight mid-size models, hit up something in the Sage Series

The Delica / Endura can't be beat for a Seki City model.
