I'm not sure why my experience with the PM2 wasn't as great as everyone elses. Maybe I had built it up in my head or was expecting something different all together. I compared it to other knives that I had that seemed to open smoother and I doubt I gave it much of a shot. I wanted to try it again and had actually ordered one a while back to try again but the dealer emailed me informing that it was actually out of stock so I never got to give the PM2 another try. I'm happy to say that some events have worked out that I now have a new Digicam PM2 headed my way to try again.

I'll post pics when it comes in.

::::EDIT::::

Ok, the PM2 came in today. It's a little stiff but rock solid. No blade play and construction seems to be really good. Slices like a dream! Razor sharp. Really happy so far.

Also, I got one of their UKPK in to try out for the office. It's a neat little knife as well.

They are as popular as ever and several exclusives/sprints are on the horizon. Yeah I notice that they are more readily available now. The Golden Co facility must have completed at least part of its expansion.

At some point, we're gonna have to rename this the Paramilitary 2 And Some Other Things subforum.

I briefly lost my love for the Para 2 after over a year of carrying it pretty much exclusively. Maybe, like Stays Sharp said, I just got bored. I convinced myself that the handle was a little too bulky for the amount of usable edge, or something like that... Anyway, a few months after I sold off of my 2 lovely Para sprints I realized my error and had to hunt down a replacement. I ended up with the 204P version which is now the knife I carry most frequently. Yes the grips are a bit bulky in the pocket, but it's just such an easy and effective knife to use and operate, I'd never want to be without one again... and maybe a backup in another steel or color, and then maybe a backup for that one...

Don't feel bad, same here.
I just didn't take to the the pm2, so I sold it.
Regretted it
I have another one due in this week, standard Satin/Black

I sold my black on black pm2 over a year ago and wouldn't mind trying one on again. When does the 3v/cf sprint come out again?

Welcome back to the Para2 a fine blade for sure. I enjoy it so much I had to get another 2 weeks after my first.

I had a para2 but gave it to a friend going on an Adventure. I am hoping the new generation Millie will have the compression lock, as rumored, and then it will be the knife to have.

Sounds like something I might have posted...except I was able to identify the niggling detail that kept it out of my pocket. I'd read and heard so much positive feedback that I was looking forward to the first one I purchased. I liked the grip shape, and was okay with the silly hole in the blade; but something wasn't quite right. It didn't feel right, in hand. I attributed it to the scales - maybe they were too thin for my taste, or it could have been the shaping of the g10 - didn't really matter, though...on the shelf it went. I felt like I was missing out on something, and I wanted to like the PM2, so I tried again. That one went on the shelf, as well. By that time, I was convinced that what the PM2 needed was different scales. Maybe contoured/shaped g10 or wood would work...but maybe titanium or aluminum was the way to go. I knew I would try again as soon as I made up my mind what I wanted...and when I was willing to add the cost of scales to the price, just to test my theory.
Ultimately, I contacted Casey Lynch; and, after some discussion, I purchased a set of his hard anodized aluminum scales. I couldn't be more pleased with them - unless, maybe, they came patternless, and with a single position clip (preferably buyer selected) to eliminate the extra holes. Seriously, though, for me, the scales have transformed the PM2 into the knife I thought it should be. I'll be buying another set if I score the M4 version (those jade g10 scales would have to go)

Bought a PM2 to give as a gift last Xmas but he preferred my RSK Mini Grip M390 so I ended up keeping the PM2.

Luv the look and construction but it just does not fit my hand well. So it sits in its box. But I still can't bring myself to sell it. And I'm still considering getting the upcoming S110V and M4 versions. ;)

I got lucky with this one. As you can tell from the lanyard tube sticking out a bit the scales are thinner than normal.

The pm2 fits my hand better than any knife I ve ever owned.

In the choiled position it fits my hand very well. Without the choil its OK but not as great. I'd be curious to hold and try a military.

Same here.

'Choked up' on the jimping, fits very well. Otherwise, not so much.

Recently, I've been reading/watching Millie reviews and haunting the Exchange. ;)
