and can NOT remember the old movie I saw a long time ago.

I....think....it was Cornel Wilde and I....think...Virginia Mayo.

In a sword/castle/evil count movie.

Anyhow, Cornel (?) took Virginia's (?) veil, threw it in the air and let it float down on the edge of his sword.

It fell into two pieces.

Now what kinda sharp is dat?

 :D

chose NEW instead of REPLY......great....

was sposed to go in the scary sharp thread.

SENILE sharp!

:( :D

That scene is in quite a few movies. I saw a movie about the Crusades where Saladin showed the Crusaders a lesson; one knight put a log between two chairs and split it with a broad-sword. Saladin remarked that this just showed the strength of his arm. He then split a silk scarf with his scimitar.

Kevin Costner used the same convention in 'The Body Guard.' I suppose it was a Fellini trick to depict the upcoming love scene with Whitney Houston.
