I picked up a Randall 16 SP-1, my first Randall. Over the weekend I went on a camping trip, and used the hell out of it, and I am actually very impressed. The first night, one of my uncles wanted to open a coffee can, and used my knife to cut open the top. When I got it back, it was still sharp enough to cut, and this is from a stainless blade. Alot of other stainless knives I have would've either been dulled or bent somehow, but not the Randall. It was also used to cut some squid, no problem other than the smell. The next day, they asked me to use it to clean up a pig they had (yes, they had a whole pig stuffed into a large cooler under some ice). I was asked to take care of one leg. The Randall took it apart quick, didn't have a problem at all cutting through the skin. I had pictures taken of that part, big ol' grin on my face. All I did afterwards was touch it up and it was back to being sharp again. I like the 4 finger grip, it fits me well, and the double guard takes away any fear of my hands sliding onto the blade while stabbing. This knife is kick as$, it's my user, I love every new little scratch on it, and it's one of the best knives I own. 5 months worth of saving, and I got a knife that was worth every penny.
