I've been thinking. Yes, it was painful.

One of my favorite production knives is the Tops Wolf Pup.
I love the handle shape as well as the blade shape. My question is, could John make a better Wolf Pup? How can the design be made better? Is this something others would be interested or should I shut up?

Thinking gives me a headache too! If anyone has a picture of one of these, post it and let`s see what improvements we can come up with.

Ask and ye shall receive.

I know pitdog takes his out hiking with him, maybe he could post some thoughts on it.

John could improve the blade 50% by just makin one with his edge on instead of the thick bevel that TOPS uses. Mine cuts pretty good now but that's only because I thinned the edge and made it convexed !!!!

Would you keep the point or change to maybe a spearpoint? Is the handle shape as comfortable as it looks?

Right away, I can see that you could improve it by removing the coating, and maybe taking some of the fancy doodahs off the top of the blade, but the overall design and handle looks good to me.

I was thinking the same. Keep some of John's filework for a thumb grip but round it out some.

You have to be carefull not to turn it into something that someone else has already done though, like this....

Fill us in on what you use yours for and how it can be perfected. The main thing I like is the handle shape and angle.

I would like to see the side of the blade that is sharpened and the side of the blade that is not switch places -- that would make the design awesome for pikal-grip self defense work.

They are a great size to drop into your pocket in place of a folder and are fairly sheeple friendly but in truth I'd sooner have one of John's little Nessmuks ! I think the blade on those would be far more useful !

I'm sorry if I'm not really selling the Wolf Pup to you, they are a great looking little blade, very handy, tough as hell and well made but I think there are better small knives !:o

Actually, I'm trying to not buy one. After seeing yours and Brian's I've wanted one. I'm glad you said this, as I am really looking forward to getting a JK nessmuk and it's nice to get comparisons.
I still like the handle angle though...
