To elaborate, you are using a tool to dispatch an animal. A shovel Can be a weapon, but it is normally used AS a tool to dig a hole.
What it comes down to is not only the actual usage but intent. If you carry a knife with the sole intention to harm someone or something then it could likely be considered not much more than a weapon, but still it would be a tool used to cause injury...
And, like the others have said, use the search function. There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum, you just have to put forth the effort. I wouldn't expect everyone to do my leg work, but then again, I find that if I spend the time and resources to look something up, I tend to retain the information a little better.
I also normally prefer to reply to posts with more than 1 sentence...
