I've searched far and wide looking for the knife that's just right. Although I will never find the perfect knife I have found one that has beat all the others for EDC and for my uses. I live in the city and I work in the office so although I like the Small Sebenza I have found I don't care too much for the HT of the S30V. I knows it good but I've gotten used to incredible steels and great heat treatments that give great edge retention.

Not too mention it's overkill for me because a Mnandi is more than capable at breaking down cardboard which normally is about the hardest my knives get used. There is the occasional ziptie and such but not too often. So I bet you're saying to yourself "Dont Mnandis have the same steel and HT as the Seb?". Yes they do, until I got a Ladder SS Damascus blade replacement and it has blown my mind. Extremely easy to sharpen, keep screaming sharp and holds a edge much better than the S30V blades CRK uses.

This Mnandi is awesome for me for a few reasons. It's very light , at 1.5oz I can't even tell it's there, great slicer, It doesn't look threatening I don't feel guilty using it in front of people at work or in public, the SS Damascus blade is beautiful and high performance at the same time, it's more than tough enough to handle most things a knife is meant to be used for, The wood and design gives it a modern yet classic look, pivot bushing, ease of maintence for both breaking down the knife and keeping it sharp(A few swipes on the extra extra fine and it's screaming sharp again like I just gave it a full sharpening), the pocket clip is possibly the best ever produced IMO and it gives beauty, strength plus is easy to take out and put back in the pocket.

The only thing I would change would be to make the tip a little thicker but it's not a huge deal.

I love this Mnandi!

+1

Extremley well made, I use mine all the time (out of the field)..
I like the fact you can clip it in your collar or shirt pocket like a pen.

I'm on a iPhone and so please be patient

Here you go!

Thank God iPhone finally got a photobucket app:D

I love my Mnandi's as well. I had 5, but traded one to a fellow forum member for a Neil Roberts. I still have 4 Mnandi and they are not going anywhere. They have to be the toughest little knife made. I could go on and on how much I love them because there is not a single thing I dislike. I would love a larger version, to me, it would be the ultimate !

Long Live The Mnandi !!!

Very cool knife. Its a little too small for my needs and fancy for my taste.

Its what you wanted though and I hope you get many good years of use from it.

A VERY nice looking knife!!

Very nice. I plan on ordering one when I move from student to professional :D:thumbup:

Thanks for the compliments guys.No I had just used it and I think I didn't wipe it off properly. The coating does have some wear marks in the coating but CRK can recoat the blade.

The next knife I have in the works is a small 21 with a insigno style wharnie blade, opening hole instead of thumblug and made from cpm m4 steel. I'll post pics when it's complete.

Very nice looking knife, the damascus looks great on it. I just picked up a user Mnandi, should be here late this week. Who sells the replacement blades, CRK or an outside vendor?

CRK sells them. You have to send it in to be fitted by them because of the tight tolerances.

Thanks for the info. Doubt I'll send it in right off, but it's a neat option to keep in mind for later on. Have two different blades for a 943, switch'em out every so often- it's like having two knives :)

once you get both blades you can swap them at your leisure. enjoy that pretty blade!
