As a foolish collector, I have seen myself this way before. But it wasn't with knives. I am definitely in the throes of 'the madness' right now, but it's fun.

So far, I got myself:
A Lg. Seb.
A Strider SNG DGG.
Hinderer XM 18 Custom 3".
A Para 2,
Two Caly JR's, (I loved it so much and it was pretty hard to find, so when I found another one, I nabbed it.)
A Dragonfly.
A Mnandi.
A Fallkniven U1.
A CRK kitchen knife (excellent).

My focus is mostly on easy carry smaller knives. So the Strider, Hinderer, Lg Seb... are big knives to me. I'm a suburban guy who could use some R and R. Work hard. Buy knives.

Incoming: carbon scale small Seb (the light weight may make the perfect EDC. Love the idea of such a light weight Seb. Plus always wanted a small Seb.)

Fallkniven FH9 (another candidate for best small edc?) Soon I'll know.

Then, I thought I might be done with relatively larger blades but I just pulled the trigger on a Medford TFF4 which Greg told me now comes with a drop point (not a dagger.) I had called to ask if he would make one with a drop, and he said they now come that way.

I got no one else to tell about this sickness! I know--I WILL post pics!!!

O.O
You have a nice lot there. If you like smaller lightweight knives, you'll love the Small CF Seb. It's an awesome little blade.
I'm in the same boat though, I don't NEED a large knife. A smaller knife would work perfectly for what I use them for. But I tend to have some bigger knives.
I just like them.
May not need a bigger knife to haul around, but if you like them, why not?
I try to keep a fair amount of both Large and Small blades lol.

You'll get to a point where you know what ones you want/need and what ones you plan to keep, how many knives is a good number for you to have around, etc. =]

It slows down, but it never goes away.

Right now, I'm in the process of moving out the ones I don't want/need for ones I do want/need and then just cut the number back a bit.

You've certainly got some great ones there, as well as more great ones on the way.
You're right, you have gone nuts! But in a good way:thumbup:

I understand the notion of nuts. Been there...still there.
Good luck.
