of NMSFNO LE and she is a beauty but I find myself usually reaching for more or less when it actually comes down to usage. I would rather swing my NMFBM when a chopper is needed or drop down to my Boss Jack, SHSJ, or even smaller if I don't need to baton or it's not practical to carry a larger blade

So swinelighten me ye 8" fans and tell me what it is that makes that size a favorite of yours. I need a new knife :)

NMSFNO is one of my favorites and is actually spot on sizewise compared to the Basic 8. Difference is mostly in weight with B8 feeling much lighter and not giving up anything in performance feel. Res-c handle feels good in the hand no matter the environment as well. Price to performance ratio usually go to the Basic series.

All the being said, I could always use another NMSFNO if you want to part ways with the one you referred to that's not getting the love and beating it deserves;):rolleyes: and multiple B8s is never a bad thing and should be strived for. Perfect for every get home bag and car.

I think that the SFNO has my favorite profile of any knife...ever. I think that the modded NMSFNO I bought from Copious is my favorite knife...ever.

In actual use, a big knife and a small knife handles tasks a lot better than one "do it all" knife. You're clearly aware of this!

Where I think the 6, 7, 8" blades shine, is a one knife tool. It CAN do it all, just not amazingly well. SHTF scenarios etc could make a good argument for having these size blades. Maybe you have a few and hand them out to family members or something. At least they can do everything/take care of themselves with one blade, maybe if they get lost, split up, whatever!

Personally for me, i carry multiples knives....but its because they all have their own purpose....im not insane ....i swear......

Yea that's kind of the way I look at my NMFSNOLE - It's multitask oriented

and you are completely sane. I usually have a few knives at hand too. Currently, I have a Game Warden, Battle Saw, NMFBM, AK47, War Dog, Boss Street, Muskrat, Crash Rat, and Camp Tramp in my truck just in case I need a knife :D
