I often times flip through a knife catalog or a web page. I often time fantasize that I won a contest and I get a free knife off of each page. I know it's weird but I figured you guys might get it.? It's fun to do especially with printed catslogs. If it's not a catalog but a web page I decide one out of every two knives. Yea you guys will probably rag on me but I enjoy doing it. Am I the only one that goes from page to page with that fantasy? I'll sit on the throne and before I know it my legs go numb rooting through a Cold Steel catalog.....
EDIT: I just caught the stupid auto correct the typo in title... Confession NOT concession....

I get it, but since I was a kid I've gotten into the habit of trying not to want stuff very often because I knew I couldn't have them unless I raked lawns or something so I could buy them.

Also things I want often seem to go by in a flash and the new comes along just as quickly, things catch my eye but not often to I actually want them enough to actually pull the trigger on them.

I've done exactly the same thing. My favorite is with the Cutting Edge consignment catalog. Some incredible knives in that one.

Yep....I grew up with Sears and JC Penny catalogs too :)

I went to a concession stand once and asked forgiveness. For some reason the guy wanted me to buy a soft drink.
Coke or Pepsi? Stupid auto correct! I'll blame that not me not paying utmost attention before posting online..... Thanks for the read!

Top right corner of your OP is a button labeled thread tools, click that then edit the title.

I have done this since I was a little kid, not always with knives but the same general concept. When I was a little kid it was pick a toy off of each page, then in my pubescent years it was pick a girl/woman from every page, and now in my adult years I'm back to picking a toy off of each page.

I totally get it. Every Saturday I think I'm going to win big money in fantasy football. So on Saturday I get on monkey edge and pretend I'm going to buy one of everything.
Another plus to fantasizing on knife sights is that the won't crash your computer:D

Its wonderful To be able to dream BIG
And be able to look at the impossible straight in the eye
And survive the mountains of ridicule.
Having Huge doses of Positive outlook
Is just the thing to feed the incurable optimist.
Don't stop pursuing the dream.

Thats why i continue playing fantasy sports on draftkings and buying powerball tickets:cool:

Yup, in the end, we all have to open the wallet for all these toys...I mean knives :)

I try to imagine/visualize handling and using knives I'm interested in.. kinda similar I think it helps to get an idea of what having and using the knife will be like, leads to better buying decisions I'm more glad for and helps to put off impulse buys.

I don't usually do that, but I am prone to imagining myself with my dream EDCs! Maybe if the day ever comes and I find myself with a Grimsmo Rask, Omega, Mgizmo Haiku, and some gorgeous pen (don't know enough about them to know what my grail would be) on my person I'll stop the fantasizing! But who am I kidding, if that ever happens I'll probably already be chasing a Stan Wilson Non-Flipper-Flipper or something else wild lol.
