Have you ever gotten some bazaar knife stuck in your head? No!!! I don’t mean ACTUALLY stuck in your head!!! I just mean that I can’t get a certain knife off of my mind. Before I ever came to BladeForums, I picked up a copy of the May 2001 Tactical Knives magazine. It had a spread on the Jens Anso Personal Sheepsfoot, with the all of the trimmings. The knife had Snakewood scales, a braided lanyard and a lizard skin sheath. Boy what a gorgeous knife!!! It’s been a year now, and I still can’t stop thinking about it. I won’t go saying that a sheepsfoot is my favorite all-time knife, just because everyone would make fun of me. Heck, even Doris made fun of me.

I’m only guy who could get a sheepsfoot blade stuck in his head. There is little hope.

LMAO you have no idea what kind of mental image the title of this thread created in my mind, i had a picture of some guy with a 12" Bowie in his head but being totaly ok, talking, breathing and everything. Anyways i know what you mean, i get differnt knives in my head all the time, i end up getting about %20 of them.

Jens would be more than happy to make one for you...it won't be a cure though...it will just make room for the next knife to be stuck in your head.

I know exactly what you mean, cause I've had that damascus Frog Hunter on his site stuck in my head for months, too.
Absolutely AWESOME.

I had the same knife stuck in my head Buzz so i emailed Jen's and got him to make this set for me, i wish you could see the frog skin sheaths i got with them.

I love sheepfoots, and Jen's makes a heck of a one!

You bet James!

Damasteel blades.

The large one is 1/8" stock, 5 1/8" with a 2" blade and a 14ct gold plug, nickel silver pins.

The miniature is 3/32" stock, 2 1/4" with a 3/4" blade and 14ct gold pins.

Mammoth ivory handles and lanyard ties with leather braided (pig i believe) lanyards.

I seem to go in cycles. Right now I'm on a tomahawk kick! The khukuri kick is always a blast. The dagger kick comes less often, but has a lot of staying power. :)

So I get here and there is no picture of a guy with a knife stuck in his head. I was really looking forward to seeing that.

As far as getting the picture of a knife stuck in my head, it happens all the time. Probably at least once a month. I just thought that was normal.

My girlfriend bought a fully decked out Anso for Christmas. I have a few months wait left and it is killing me!

KWM - Sorry about the lack of a grotesque picture. If I lived nearer to civilization, I would have picked up one of those "arrow through the head" gags, and doctored it up with some knife parts.

APM - Nice knives!!!! I am supremely jealous!!! Anso's work is gorgeous beyong belief. An order to Anso will next after my Mini-Talon. I must be on a small fixed kick this winter.

Rifter - ROFLOL!!!

there was an episode of Trauma: Life in the ER where a guy had a big a$$ knife stuck in his head. Cool x-ray of it too.

I remember that episode. That was a big ol' Rambo lookin' thang too. The x-ray was x-cellent. Wish I had a copy of that one for a screen saver.

I think it was only a day or 2 later, over on one of the tactical forums somebody was wanting to know the best place to stab somebody. Buncha net ninjas anyways. I was gonna post in that thread and advise....

"NOT IN THE HEAD! Every guy I ever seen stabbed in the head with a 7 inch knife has GOT UP AND LEFT THE HOSPITAL!"

But I figgered I was the only guy who watched that show and nobody else would get it.

Hi All,

I just looked through my archives and I believe that the Trauma episode in question was broadcast in late February 1999...I can't find the pic though :(

As for the original question...I also go through cycles...right now the Laci Szabo RAD is embedded quite deeply into my skull :D

I'm just having a hard time making the jump to custom knives from my Benchmade collection.

But I just LOVE that knife!

I don't know if this qualifies as a knife in the head, but the latest issue of Weekly World News has a story about a bartender who got a corkscrew stuck in his head. Now he can tune in radio stations by turning his ears.

They wouldn't print it if it wasn't true, would they?

Buzzbait,

The same thing happened to me when I saw that spread in TK. I ended up ordering one for myself shortly afterwards. I'm still waiting, but it should be any day now.

Mine will have cocobolo handles with a black/red halftanned leather sheath.
