Thanks to the kind folks at Newgraham, I am the proud owner of a new Benchmade 705 limited edition with uncoated D2 steel and bubinga wood in the handles, #044/200.
This is the nicest knife I have ever owned. There were three to choose from, all were equally perfect, so I decided on the one that to me had the most interesting grain pattern in the wood. I had gone in there with every intention of buying a Spyderco Kiwi, had chosen the one to buy, and was just looking around when I saw the three 705 woodies.
Im not going to go into a full knife review, need to own and use it for a while first, but it is a thrilling knife to own. What a treasure to have found!
