Yea I got embarrassed recently by autocorrect and from not paying attenton. That explains the funky title. But I do have another confession to make. I've been known to throw back a few cold ones and pretend that I won a contest or something. I often ponder if I could own one of every product from any knife/tool company, what order would I choose? For me personally it's....
1.) Cold Steel
2.) Esse
3.) Spyderco
4.) GEC (never owned one but have to list a tradional
5.) LT Wright
Go ahead give me some shit I can handle it. So boys what 5 companies would you pick? Sure I love Cold Steel call me a fanboy! Sure I enjoy my Twistmaster even though it's a blatant copy of Opinel. I am well aware about the douchey Cold Steel lawsuit threats! Please let's just have some fun!

If you like Cold Steel I definitely think you will enjoy Emerson. A good starter collection would include,

Spyderco, Benchmade, a Cold Steel, a fixed blade like an Esse and a Zero Tolerance

Of those brands I already own:

- Cold Steel, any of the new 2017 models would do!
- Spyderco, a LC200N or most of the newer models too
- CRKT, I'd like another one of their crazy designs
- Kershaw, the last ones were quite bad and I'd like to give it another chance
- a new Ontario would also be very welcome, fixed or folder

and brand I haven't tried yet but I0m really drooling over

- Emerson
- FOX (FKMD)
- Bastinelli
- Steel Will
- Microtech

any of those would satiate my "knife appetite" for a while

I like your approach but I want to hear anything you guys want to discuss!
 
I have a really diverse collection, so this would be really hard for me. I'll just throw out the following list after a few minutes of consideration:

1. Spyderco (this is the only "for sure")
2. GEC
3. The Hawks (customs)
4. Andrew Demko (customs)
5. Randall
