I've got 'em, now, where do I go to learn to USE 'em?

OK, guys. I love knives. I love Emerson knives. I carry 'em every day. I am afraid, however, that if I ever had to use it in the manner for which it was designed (read: self defense), unless I got REALLY lucky, my knife would most likely be taken, and used on yours truly. Aside from the fact that that would be quite painful, it'd be embarrassing, and possibly deadly. So. What kinds of things should I look into to teach me how to use my knife effecitvely, so i CAN be a "big tough-guy knife fighter" (like e-trollia said I COULD be, if I practiced).

I have no idea who you are, I know these guys. If you are looking for Instruction in the Chicago Area, I could find someone for you though.
