Weeeeellll... questions...

More questions from that dad-burned arcieblue...

Is there actually a soul out there who actually uses a wood inlay sebby for what the sebenza was made to do? --Be a darn tough USER!

Do you HAVE to carry a backup when sporting this $500 beauty? Personally, I always have the Micra on my keychain with the WAVE not far behind, but theoretically speaking...

What if you were to find yourself with your $700 damascus inlaid seby wothout a backup in despirate, but NOT LIFE-THREATENING cutting situation? IS there ANYBODY who has actually been in a similar situation and USED such a blade? Sebby or other.

Who USES an inlaid sebby for anything you couldnt use a letter opener to do? And talk about some of the damascus I've seen... whew!

I guess the word is "Functional Art"
One does'nt eat off of fine china... or do they?

I think the jealousy is actually making me vibrate... Or is that the earthquakes of true Sebenzanistas eyes rolling as they read my ramblings...

...replies will tell all!

I carry and USE a CGG line drive model every day. It rides in a canted G2 sheath. I also have a small pearl inlay unique design and a Umfaan. The pearl inlay sits in the safe waiting for the CGG to be sent in for clean up. The thought of having to do without my Sebenza, drove me to buy another.

I am looking for a good deal on a used large plain, but I always seem to find the posts too late

.

Don't have a woody or damascus blade but, the Sebenza was designed to be used so, if you are going carry it - USE IT! If not, leave it home in the safe.

I carry a large decorated Seb that has been autographed by Chris. Seems a waste of a good blade not to use it. Wouldn't that be the way the maker of such a fine WORKING knife want it?

Yeah Archie,
I've got wood. I've carried and used my wood inlay Sebenza everyday for about a year and a half. I've used it for everything from cleaning trout to opening boxes and carving wood. No back up blade has been required. The knife has held up very well, in fact the wood inlay shows no more wear than the rest of the handle.

super cool!

This is all really cool to hear.

any pics?

I have had a wood on order for several months now. Talk about vibrating with anticipation! When it gets here, it will be carried every day.
