The Chinese style wrap, present on the Hanwei Beile Dao as well as others, even the BKS Tactical Yataghan. (Which I'm thinking I NEED.)

Does anyone here know of any tutorial, or information on how this is done? I've looked, searched BF, and asked around but the only place I got is no longer around. Anyone think they can help me out?

The guy who does some of our wraps would prob be glad to walk you through it. He is a member of this forum. Larry Nowicki.

I've done a couple of wraps like that. Starting them off is the hardest part. I can't imagine what they used to do before adhesive tape was invented! :p

Maybe a small pin tapped through the cord into the wood of the grip and removed afterward?

Ah--but that wouldn't work too well since you have to keep rotating the piece. An assistant would get in the way more than they'd help in this case. At least in my opinion.

I actually managed to figure it out by the images on the thread that was pointed out. I need to practice it more, but it seems to come together.
