I own mostly Spyderco's, a few Benchmade's, and one ZT 0561. I have a CQC-8 Jungle Green Prestige model that should be coming in this week. I also placed an order last night for an Emerson Combat Karambit folder and a ZT/Emerson 0620CF. That's what happens when you're off for 3 days checking the forums and watching YouTube. My wallet is crying now.

Since you own mostly Spydercos, I think you'll like your Emersons a lot. Function is the name of the game with Emerson and same with Spyderco. Post pics when you get them and welcome to the club!
 
That's a great starting lineup. I'll suggest for your next purchase, because there will likely be a next purchase, a CQC-7B or a Commander.

Yes, been looking at a CQC-7 as well. I still want to get another CQC-8 in stonewash/satin because the two-tone looks cool.
 
Nice choices! I really love the stonewash/satin finish blades from Emerson. Best I have ever seen and I have owned quite a few brands/models over tha past decade and a half using/collecting knives.
 
Don't be surprised if you feel the need to put all your other brands up for sale in the exchange. Emerson Knives are addicting.

I don't see myself selling my other folders unless I'm financially in a pinch. Just adding more Emersons to the line up.

You might need an all blacked out one as well, just to round our your collection :D The CQC-8 is the best currently available folder design on the market, in my opinion.

Great choice for a first Emerson.
 
Definitely good choices to get into Emerson knives. I agree a 7 or Commander are good choices for a next model. Seems the price of the HD-7 has come down quite a bit since they were reintroduced so if you like framelocks it would be a good one to get.
