Hi,

I've just purchased a Gold membership : Order Number 77940

I've tried unsucessfully to change my user group - would you be so kind as to help me with that ?

Many thanks in advance.

you can't change your group, spark will do that when he gets a chance. took him a couple of days after purchase to do mine. depends on how busy he is...

Wrong. You can change your user group. But it may take a day or so until the membership goes through. Credit card AND PayPal are supposed to be automated now, though.

Click this link and when there is a Gold choice, select it, and your new membership will show.

When I click on the ''update your user group'' link, I'm given the following message : There are currently no public usergroups available for you to join.

Is there anything that I'm doing wrong ?

Thanks

You're not doing anything wrong. You're account upgrade isn't active yet. When it is, you'll see the Gold group available for selection. How did you pay?

Ok- I paid through credit card (Visa). I asked again because the poster above you seemed to say the user group status through credit card and Paypal is now suppoded to be automated - thanks for such a prompt response.

Are you in the U.S.? I believe international orders still have to be entered manually. Otherwise, there may have been a problem with your card. Only Spark can say for sure.

I'm Canadian. On the membership order page, it says that only those outside North America can experience problem with this - even then I think this is no longer an issue, at least as far as forum membership goes.

I might email Spark about this.

You should have been able to use the automated system, but you are good to go regardless
