...for another automatic knife.

After selling off all my Benchmade's, I'm thinking about having a custom conversion made.

I'm looking at my 50/50 Spyderco CreditCard knife, and thinking it would be a good platform to have modified.

What do you guys think?

Would a Spydie CC knife make a good auto, and if so, "Why?"

If not, why not?

Does anyone know a maker that could do the conversion for me?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Melvin,
Don't take this the wrong way, but unless your are well taken with an existing knife, I would consider starting from scratch. Sometimes by the time a knife has been modified you and the maker would have been better off just starting from the beginning.

Otherwise, I think an auto Spydie CC knife would be way cool.
Reason - like any auto the toy/gadget factor. I love autos, carry a few and have a few in my collection, but when I really think about it they (autos) have nothing over manuals other than the work and innovation involved in making them and the cool gadget aspect.

My dream one right now is to try to find one of Kit Carson's old ones that some one will part with.
