On a lark, I picked up about $25 in galvanized steel plumbing parts (after careful planning) and made a warhammer today!

This is phase 1.
All steel, about 3 pounds (my tomahawk is 2 pounds, my bastard sword is 4).

- Steel shaft for very effective blocking.
- Pommel is curved with a hammer end, to make it easier to hang on to, and to use for pommeling, blocking, and catching.
- Head is a large square hammer end, turned to be a diamond instead of square to distribute more force through edges and points, smaller than an end-cap would be, in order to focus the kinetic energy in a smaller space.
- Other side was originally a large hook, but was too long and off-balancing, so removed a section of it (see the hole?) and will replace with the smallest plug I can find to be more like a spike.
- Balance point around 3/5 up the shaft, need it to be around 2/3 (like a hawk), will accomplish with more weight on head.
- Shaft length 18". Overall length 23.5".
- Can be used one-handed or two-handed with ease (while two-handed, moves like a wood axe).

Still need to get more parts for the spike.
Still need to wrap shaft.

Will put up more pics when done. This will stay in my car when I'm not beating on tires with it.
