Two days ago, I bought a Delica II plainedge. This is the most solid lockback I have ever handled. I've owned Spydies before but never a stainless handle Spydie. It makes a world of difference. It may only be AUS6, but I love this knife. It looks so elegant yet I'm confident I could defend myself with it if need be.

Thank you Sal, your knife has made my day:)

I have to agree. Not too long ago I picked up an all stainless rookie. It feels a lot better to me than the delica with a frn handle. However, I do have a native with the frn handle that feel fine to me, maybe it has something to do with the thickness of the handle.

I'm really tempted to buy a SS Police. All of my Spydies so far are tip-up carry but I like the design of the Police and the SS model just seems like such a Spyderco classic. I guess after I get my new engraved SS Delica from Glasshart I'll finally see what a SS handled knife is like and finally break down and make the purchase (after the Lil Temperance though) :)

I carry a SS Delica as one of my EDC. I thought it would be too heavy for daily carry, and was going to make it a "glovebox" knife, but decided to carry it instead. I've been very happy with my Delica II. I have an engraved Pegasus, and the engraving helps with the grip, so an engraved Delica II would be sweet! :) Enjoy those Delica's!!

I can relate. I wasn't all that much of a knife enthusiast until I owned a Spyderco. These things are awesome. The sharpest knife I've ever handled in my life came out of a Spyderco box. :)

I agree. The Stainless Steel models are a real piece of artwork. My brother will only buy Spydies with SS handles. Its not that he doesn't like G-10 or FRN, he just likes the heft and balance of those SS jobs. I too am beginning to see the usefullness of SS handles, and might even break down and get a Police knife here shortly.

Big Target,

If I were you, I would go for Plainedge or 50/50. I'd probably lean more toward 50/50, but Plainedge would be a close 2nd choice. My brother has a 50/50 Police, and he loves it. I always thought that fully serrated were neat looking, but then I bought my first Plainedge model and it all changed......:)
