Can anyone recomend a source for a small quantity of Ivory Canvas Micarta. I've seen the stuff advertised in catalogs in larger pieces, but I don't have the proper equipment (or skill!) to slice it up. Also only need a bit - enough for the scales on one folder. A first-time project. Any suggestions most appreciated.

ivory micarta is made with paper, if you contact k&g 800-972-9211 or jantz supply. 800-351-89oo they have small and thin sets of scales.

I cut off my first chunk of Micarta the other night using a $20 japanese pull saw. Works like a hard wood. The saw and some files and sandpaper seem to me to be all that's needed to work it.
