Ivory handle fighting knife

This is an ivory handle slip joint knife that Charlie has been making for a good friend. It has caused several fights during its construction. Charlie won 3 of the fights and the knife won 1. I think Charlie won the war. It has a 1 3/8 inch blade of CPM S30V, titanium liners and stainless screws. It comes with an alligator slip for carrying on Sunday.

There isn't a law that requires you to carry a knife in a slip, but I think that there is a law that requires you to carry one. Or should be? The alligator slip thing, well, you need to be from south Georgia.;) Alligator the other white meat.
 
I grew up in Statesboro, but never had a taste of gator till I moved away, can you believe it? (Pretty funny story too- a buddy and I were presented with a plate that had one piece of fried gator tail and one rooster fry, and we didn't know which was which. I got lucky :))

Gators are a lot more common now, but I think most of the meat comes from Louisiana. The "Boro" is still a great place to live. If you get down this way, give us a call, and stop by the shop. We love having visitors. It forces us to clean the place up, and gives us a good reason to take a break.
