Ivory Handle stained by lemon juice!

I was re etching some of my cleaned Damascus blades this weekend, when I dropped in a Ivory handle push dagger. Came back hours later and it has a horrible yellow stain across it where the juice line was.
I tried dish soap and water with a mind scouring pad to no avail at all.
Anyone else ever stain their Ivory scales? Can I ever regain the milk color again?

OK here is a crazy idea.... Try a dental tooth whiteing treatment.

Maybe some hydrogen per-oxide
