Ok guys.... show em if ya got em!!

I'm curious if the Custom shop has ever made any knives with Ivory??

Sure, I could call or email Garth and ask... but I wanna let Garth keep grinding!!

So.... if you've seen one or have one... lets hear about it. OR SEE IT!

After all.... Elephant Ivory is TOUGH.... I'd LOVE Ivory on my GW!

I want a GW to match this Colt.....

I've seen bone handles that had the look of ivory, but never an ivory-handled Busse. Isn't elephant ivory very restricted?

Well, there was this one. Its giraffe bone though, but mighty purdy.

THere have been a few others that were a white giraffe bone as well. THe Boss has an incredible Mammouth ivory dagger . Pics are here somewhere

Know there are two more of these out there somewhere.

Not sure of other creation Jerry made that had pre-embargo ivory...

Anyone tried the higher quality grained ivory substitutes such as Tru-Ivory? I wouldn't mind having a Tru-Ivory slabbed GW, sort of a San Francisco vest dagger to go with my Colt 2nd Gen 1851 Navy.
Cheers!

I have a couple of knives that were made with a very good ivory substitute and would like to see some INFI wearing those with either mosaic or corbys.

Walrus Ivory is still legal ... used a lot by Japanese custom makers .... very nice finish to it as well .... very clean and very tough ...

There were several Culties made with mammoth ivory for Blade '08, IIRC. I wasn't lucky enough to score one for myself, unfortunately.

Which model is that one Lunde ? That is a great design  Is it a 5 inch blade ?

Cheers... I have'nt seen that "variation" before .... it looks like it could be a Batac Variant as well ....
