I really like my new Large Redwood Inlayed Sebenza, it really outdoes my Small Decorated Sebenza. Now I'm lusting for a Small Inlayed Sebenza, but I need something different. Any chance of an Elephant Ivory Inlay, Mastodon Ivory Inlay, or white micarta?

Call up Chris Reeve and ask him. It is that simple.

I called requesting a mother-of-pearl Mnandi. Bridgette handed me over to Chris and he patiently explained why it wasn't technically feasible for them to produce that on their equipment.

Then I asked for a buffalo horn Mnandi. They hadn't ever used that material, but 7 weeks later, voila, I had my Cape Buffalo Horn Mnandi!!

I want or wanna see some Carbon Fiber inserts for a Sebbie ! :D

About 3 years ago I handled a Large Sebenza (1 of 60 style) inlayed with Giraffe Bone. It was very different and unique.

I was hoping someone from CRK would respond. I considered calling, but wanted all us Sebenzanistas to share the info.

Also, the Giraffe Bone sounds like a good idea. I have a Scott Cook knife with that material. It would be visually smashing on a Sebenza, lots of color and figure, though cold to the touch. Here I go again, agonizing over my choices.

Sorry - I have been wearing my "accounting hat" for the past week and have not had an opportunity to get to the Forum!

I asked Chris about using Mammoth Ivory (we don't have any elephant and he won't use micarta for this) and it could be done. You just need to get with Bridget about it. It will likely be an expensive exercise because we need to use a fair chunk of ivory but that's a detail we'd need to get to down the line.

We can also do a Classic with Mammoth - in fact there are some coming in the next few months.
