I will occasionally have a sheath come together really well. The pieces just go together super smoothly, the dye works great, the stitching just flows. A culmination of what I've learned, and been taught.

This one is super simple, but it came together so smoothly.

Black and blue oil dyes
Blue thread
7/8oz body/4oz lined
Medium belt clip
Beeswax finish

Nice work
How comfortable is it to wear , sitting down , walking etc ?
I see in the pic that you have it positioned around about the coin pocket of your jeans , is that where you would wear it , or further back on your hip ?
I've never really contemplated a IWB sheath , but I've recently become a convert to carrying a folder clipped IWB .
Its a really interesting idea .
I know exactly what you mean about how sometimes things just fall into place and the whole process of making the sheath just flows from start to finish , its great when that happens .
That one has lovely clean flowing lines . Its one to be proud of that's for sure .

That is cool!!!!! You know I'm not much for color but that really works. I really like the blue thread.

really smooth, i like it alot! a different type and colour of thread is on my list as well. i like the blue!

AMAZING lines! Very nice work- are you using a stitching chisel or drill to punch the holes? Again- you do some fantastic work. Thanks for sharing!

Really looks good. The blue thread is enough that it looks great without tooling. Where did you find colored thread?

Thank you gentlemen. :)

Thanks Ken. Honestly, I don't know how it feels in use, I've never tried one. The pic was just a snapshot for the customer. I imagine comfort would depend on where you have it situated. It's funny how hard it is to take a pic like that. I must have taken over a dozen, and it's still blurry! :)

I really like the clip though. I will most likely make something for myself using one.

Thanks brother. I use a needle and drill press. I used a relatively small needle to make the holes on this one. Every stitch required the use of pliers. It was a pain, but I think it helped the look. One of those things that only the maker would notice, but worth the effort.

Thanks man. The thread is Tiger/Ritza 1mm. You can buy it from a number of vendors now. Not long ago it was pretty difficult to come by. It's expensive, but it's the best you can buy. They have a ton of colors and being synthetic, the colors are bright and stay that way.

I made this sheath following Daves thread. A gold colored thread from a rag was laying on it and I thought it would look good if they make thread in different colors. You answered my question

Once again Ant, you translate a customer's concept into reality, to a "T". I got insider info that the customer is blown away with the pics, and can't wait to get it in hand. Anthony Alms = Omega Leather Works = Unrivaled leather gear!

Really nice work on that one! I have Daves thread subscribed for when I attempt one. Yours came out beautifully. For me, white thread would look excellent on your sheath, but it does look great the way it sits. I really need to break out my stamps because it's been too long. I have a knife that I think would look great with a sheath like that. Right now it sits in a cobra overlay but there are things I'd do differently now. Food for thought, plus I'm hungry at the moment, so good timing. :D

Thanks Jimmy, you are a great customer. Your sheaths, knife and the build along cuff are in transit. Probably arrive tomorrow. Thanks for the kind words, but even more so for your friendship. One of the great aspects of doing custom work is that I get to chat as well as doing the leather work. Please let me know if there's anything I can do for you moving forward. I'll be happy to give you a good deal at this point. ;) Repeat customers are the best because it's clear that the work meets your needs. I'm more than willing to accommodate any preference you might have for materials or hardware that I don't already stock. We have similar taste anyway and I like the blue thread you chose as well. I'll be here whenever you need anything.

Camaorless that pancake really looks great! Buddy it was you asking about how to build one a long time ago that got me to do that thread. You always hear how repeat customers are the backbone of any business. It is absolutely true.

Dave thanks for the compliment. I hope you post more of them your work is awesome. I got less than a year at this and a lot learn. My son is happy with his pancake
