How have people's experiences been with the IWB folder sheaths available from River City and others?

It looks like most of them convert the knive to tip down carry. Does this affect the speed or ease with which you can deploy the knife?

Retention? Concealment? Cool factor? Any and all comments are welcome.

I'm bumping this up one more time. I thought these would have been more popular with forumites.

The only folders I've worn IWB have all had their own clips, so I didn't need a sheath. River City has an unfortunate reputation for poor customer contact, so I doubt many people are familiar with the product. I never heard of anything like it myself.

Hey Guys...

Unfortunately Mike is sometimes hard to get in touch with, especially when he is very busy, as am I.

I do believe he is a stand up guy, and he makes a very good product.

Everyone is being pretty nice with this! Jeez! Check out the ongoing thread on Good, Bad, Ugly forum and make a decision about if you want to send money to River City to have one of these sheaths made for you (not to mention sending the knife itself). I bought a REKAT Pioneer II years ago that came with one of Mike's belt sheaths for a folder and it is great, top notch. That said, it's nothing another experienced sheathmaker can't make, and that way you probably wouldn't be without your knife and money for 1+ years.

I find carrying a folder IWB to be uncomfortable as is, increasing the knives thickness with a sheath is not exactly going to remove that issue. As far as fixed blades are concerned, I really like the IWB method though.
