izula 1 and 2

Hey everyone. Just got my izula 1 and 2 in the mail! Never had one before so I thought Id get them both and see what I liked better. Both are great but have to give the nod to the 2. Fits my hand better and actually feels like a muchlarger blade than it is cause of the scales. Kinda surprised me cause the picts I looked at of the 2 made seem much more stretched out than it is in person and I initially liked the look of the 1 better. I"ll wrap the 1 in paracord and make it my new necker. Both came wicked sharp but took it further on the sharpmaker. 1095 is soooo much easier to sharpen than stainless. Brutal sharp now. Really glad I bought them both. Id put a pict on here but Im the last computer illiterate guy in north america so will have to get my gfreind to help another time. Cheers:thumbup:
 
congrats on your purchase. I just ordered one myself a few days ago, but im still waiting!
 
I traded my izula in hopes that I will like the 2 better. I carry a hest everyday, doubt anything will change that...always need a beer opener or pry-bar...
 
ive been hearing nuthin but good about the hest whether its folder or fixed blade. think im gonna grab a fixed pretty soon. gonna wait for the izula folder instead of the hest folder. ah who am i kidding. i may end up w one of those too. its just since i bought a sebenza im really careful w folders cause many disapoint me now. damn quality products!!
 
I've had the Izula-1 for a while now. Just got the Izula-2 a short while ago and it's a big improvement I think. The Izzy-1 just feels very tiny in my hand now. Great knife and I still have a purpose for it, but the Izzy-2 has replaced it as my EDC and there's no going back.
 
gotta agree w you magus. i havent tried the izzy1 w scales yet but dont even know if i'll bother since the 2 fits so well in my hand. cant wait like everyone else for the izula folder too. and maybe a 5 in the spring. I may have to get a third job

I've got the scales on my Izzy-1 and they're not bad. I tried it cord wrapped, didn't care for it that way at all. Honestly, with the Izzy-1 the scales or naked are the only way to fly in my opinion.

The scales help on the Izzy-1 I feel, but trying to compare the scales of the Izzy-1 to the full scales of the Izzy-2 are night and day. The Izzy-2 is just 1000 times more comfortable.

You mentioned the 5. It's my favorite of the entire line. Trust me, you'll love it whenever you get one. ESEE's become an addiction pretty fast.
 
great thing is you can add 3 or 4 or 5 of em in a yr and not get kicked in the pocket too bad too! I have some one piece crk's a busse etc and as much as i love them, i only use em occasionally cause i feel like Im holding a big ol wad of cash! Im def getting a 5. It'll be the tank of my collection. cant wait to take it camping in the spring
