I'm thinking of removing the coating on my izula 2. I know I'm being completely paranoid as the coating is thin, but I'm wondering if the scales will have a different fit on an uncoated handle (i.e., they don't fit flush with the steel, they slide out of position against the smooth metal, etc.). Anyone have any experience with izula scales on an uncoated knife?

I removed the coating on a previously owned Izula ii and I'm currently etching my new Izula ii so that I can remove the coating this weekend…so, speaking from experience, you will not have a single problem with the scales' fit after stripping your Izzie.
