Izula and metal detectors?

I recently got my brother interested in esee knives so he bought a pair of izulas. He gave me one and has been edc the other ever since.. anyway he told me that recently he forgot to leave it in his car before work (he works at a stadium) and realized that his izula didn't set off the metal detector, so he said that he tried it again some other day and same thing happened. does anyone know about this? you think the metal detectors just weren't that good? or are izulas undetectable?
 
you could allways go to an airport and test the theory...........;)

more seriously, it'll be the metal detector. it may well be more for show than anything anyway.
 
Stadiums usually have them set to not go off for belt buckles and keys and such. Sometimes. They have adjustable senstivities. You can bet your ass the airport will catch it, and any federal buildings. Private detectors, toss up
 
Ditto the metal detectors. I hear that a lot of stadiums have the metal detectors' sensitivity set to relatively low, so not everyone has to stop, take their belts and watches off, and go through again...
 
my keyring for work weighs more than my Izula -- it's the sensitivity for that metal detector. DON'T try sneaking the Izula into a federal building or courthouse.
 
The Izula powdercoat is stealth technology designed by DARPA. It makes the Izula invisible to radar, metal detectors, x-rays, and communists.
 
so I need to make a hat out of Izulas laced together with tinfoil?
 
...apparently, it's not the powdercoat, some prototype Unobtanium Izula's slipped out , the truck carrying them was hijacked on the way to Area 51.....;)

...seriously, though, I just tested my Izula with one of these DIY shop pipe detector thingies and it registered, so It seem's it's the detector that wasn't sensitive enough.

no problem - I just need you to mail me enough Izulas to make the hat -- keeping in mind that I'll need to keep them all so I can maintain my level of protection/invisibility.

Just wait for em they are in the mail. If you don't receive them in 3 to 5 days the Neo Alien Industrial Complex must be onto your plan and have confiscated them. in that case be afraid be very afraid.:D
 
a perfect example, I have a metal hip, I always set it off at the airport but when I go thru the metal detector at our local court house, nothing
 
Most private security and even some state and local security is much for show. Its the detector.
 
I went to an NBA game earlier this year and they were scanning everyone with a wand. I had a pocket knife in my pocket and didn't want to go back to the car unless I had to. I made it through without a problem.
