hey guys! im getting my girlfriend an izula for christmas and she said she wants to carry it on her ankle. i tried to search for some products or pictures, but found none. any help?

I always saw ankle carry of anything kind of on the shady side..but it should be easy enough if she searches around for some kind of velcro straps. The stock Izula sheath itself is pretty versatile.

i personally think it would be fine in her purse, but its her idea. i have looked online and cant find a thing so a couple straps will probably be her best bet. thanks for the input.

Tell that to all the cops and CCW holders carrying a spare gun or sit at a desk or in a car all day. :D

Don’t know if the Ka-Bar TDI ankle platform would match up with the Izula sheath or not, probably not. For a knife the size of the Izula, it’s not inconvenient to carry anywhere else.

Ankle guns, sure (as a BUG or as a primary under certain circumstances). Ankle knives, not for me but to each their own. Seems somewhat inconvenient and impractical for such a small knife.

I'll also add having carried something on my ankle many times, she will most likely not like it after wearing it for about 20 minutes.

Just an idea but I'm thinking if I was going to try this for EDC. I might attach the sheath to some sort of ankle support band. I would likely cut the part that wraps under the foot off, and put chicago screws through the band with some washers and then sew in some extra material on the inside to keep the screws from scratching the leg. Just an idea.....

I think I'd just use some string and wrap it to my ankle like they show it in belt configuration. There are straps out there, but I don't know how you'd fit them to through the sheath without modding it a little.

the Ka-bar TDI knives come with an optional ankle carry rig that seems like it would work with the izula sheaths or a custom kydex. On a whim, I tried one and its fairly comfortable. Not sure how it would hold up after extended wear.

The Izula sheath works fine for an ankle rig. I do not use it myself but a nylon strap with a thread back loop and velco makes it secure and comfortable enough. The strap threads through the sheath and the sheath then sits under the strap. Do not ask for picks as I still have not worked that process out.

I've carried my Izula in my pocket, neck and belt. Just to see how easy it was to do. So after I had seen this post, I put my Izzy II on my boot. And it stays right where I put it. I just took this pic at a libarary where I am stiiting at the moment. So an Izzy II works well this way. (Never tryed the little one) I wanted the Izzy II for the bit bigger scales and grip. Here is the pic :D
Enjoy edgy

why the ankle? is it for utility or self defense? I only ask as I don't like ankle carry for either of these. however, simple velco straps might do the trick.

that is a great idea! now all i have to do is find her a clip. she wears boots in the winter so that might be the perfect set up.

no, shes not carrying it there for self defense. utility is probably why. i think she just wants somewhere else besides her pockets. girls and their tight jeans :jerkit:

Hi.. the ESEE Izula II comes with a clip when you get the kit. Other nice things come with that as well, and the II is an unreal cutter. I'm not sure how, but it IS one of the sharpest blades I have ever used. Its staying at my side for the rest of my life. Luuv the lil thing.:D edgy
PS oh the price is very very good for what you get.
NO one else can match this lil set up.

It should fit quite well under the jeans. Izzy IIs are Great blades.

oops, I'm sorry did I scare you.. ??

I like it..!!:D
