Izula as a boot knife

I know the Izula isn't a good SD knife and that boot deployment isn't the best for SD either, but thats not what I am looking for. What I am looking for is a way to carry my Izula in/on my ankle as a back up knife for whatever may come up. For some reason I like the idea of having a knife on me that nobody else knows about, and I like the idea of that knife being 100% legal to carrry everywhere, and that is as BA and tough as the Izula. But what I cannot figure out is how to carry it comfortably in/on my boot/ankle, and I was wondering how any of you have figured out to do it, or if I am the only one who carries it this way.

Check out diving knives and how they are mounted. Might get you in the right direction. For example:

IIRC the RC-3 comes with a boot clip sheath you may want to see how that's done. Also check out my belt clip sheath linked in my signature and see if that gives you any ideas. What kind of boots do you wear and would the knife need to be inside or outside the boot?

I am sure he means inside the boot, the only advice I would offer is check your local laws. here in georgia that would be a concealed weapon, one that a ccw will not cover. go figure I can conceal carry a gun but not a knife!

It doesn't really matter inside the boot or out but I do want it to ride so that it wouldn't bounce around while walking/running. I currently wear a pair of Danner Rainforesters 8in leather, but am thinking about switching over to a pair of White's Outdoorsman.

It seems like there are a number of different options, you may just have to try a few until you find what works for you. I would say a thin kydex sheath would be way more comfortable than the factory plastic one. What about velcro on the sheath and the inside of your boot? Clipping over the top of the boot might work well also you may just have to use your thumb to pop it out of the sheath to avoid pulling the sheath out of your boot.

I've seen some people just wedge a kydex sheath into the boot, sans velcro or anything. You may have to do some boot shopping, but it's very possible to find a comfortable fit without any more hassle than just sliding it in. Also, you can wrap it in whatever paracord matches your socks :D
