Izula carry options!

I was putting this question into another thread, but thought it might make an interesting thread on its own. I don't have an Izula but am dying to get one and want to know how people go about their Izula EDC.

So tell me...How do you all carry your Izulas? Does the sheath have a clip so you can put it in a pocket with the handle protruding? Sideways on a belt? Cheers! :cool:

(PS - Sorry if this has been gone over before. I know I need to upgrade my membership but until I do I can't search)
 
I am really a sucker for neck carry, with most small fixed blades. Especially on weekends, when I'm in and out of everything from ski pants to board shorts, many without belts or good pockets.
 
I like to do the X of 550 cod through the holes that way I can easily move it from a backpack strap to either horizontal (small of the back or cross-draw) or vertical on the belt.
 
I have two Izula blades with two custom made sheaths one is kneck carry the other has a small techlock
 
I carry mine inverted under my shirt on a neck cord.

In fact, since getting it, my folders are jealous because they are getting left at home. :D

Have any pictures of the sheaths?


For anyone who may know the answer to this, Kabar makes a metal clip for some of their knives and it fits the Becker Necker sheath. I was wondering if the holes lined up with the ones on the Izula sheath, three of them anyway due to that channel, so that you could use that clip. Would make for an easy in the waist band carry.

Pretty much the same here.
Only thing I did was filing a couple of notches in the sheath, so my thumb doesn't slip off when I push the knife out.

Neck carry works well for this knife, but most of the time I have it in my right front pocket, where it is now.
 
I just drop mine in my pocket. Sometimes it'll go in the cargo pocket but most often it's in the right front pocket on my shorts.

I typically carry mine in my rear pants pocket. Like others have said, I rarely carry a folder anymore.
 
piggybacked to my powerlock sheath, so it rides inside my belt. it lines up nice so it is easy to grab, but is quite hidden.
 
I suppose it is a bit of a moot point for me, since I live in Cali, so it would have to be visible at all times. I never thought of just throwing it in the front pocket; that sounds pretty good actually. These must be insanely handy out in the woods when they are kept somewhere really accessible, like the shoulder strap. Awesome.
