So guys, what do you think about these scales I made? Work a lot of night shifts these days sooooo, not a lot of time to make knives, scales and such. Had a couple of hours to myself the other day so made these scales for my Izula:

They are made out of a piece of oak I found in a drawer of my tool box.

Nice! Did they make the knife easier to use for you? If so...then they're awesome! I like the mods that increase a knife's usability.

Seriously, yes it does. It used to have a paracord handle and a green coating. Never been friend with coating. So stripped it, put a orange patina on it and made oak scales for it. Since then, it does not feel the same. Always loved the knife tho.

Personally, I would have rounded the edges of the scales a little more, it looks a little square to me. If it fits your hand, though, that's all that matters. Nicely worked out and finished, though.

I like 'em. I've been thinking of trying my hand at some Walnut scales for my Izula and this might have just given me the motivation to do so.

That's good man no prob, but I did make one pair with rounded edges, it did not fit as well as these ones. Though these are lightly rounded, but i dig what you mean.
