So I am sitting here noticing I do not own a RAT knife and am looking at the Izula. Now I already have a good fixed blade camp knife and just got a new folder. I am kind of at the end of my knife related budget for the year. I came here because I know if ever I need encouragement for buying a knife this is the place to be haha. So what do you all think? And while I am asking the "rat pack", what exactly are the rat pack numbers and how do you get them?

well, i think that the Izula is an excellent knife for the money. i use it all the time in daily life and i've used it in bushcraft activities. it'll perform great as a small camp knife or as a backup for a larger fixed blade. well worth the money imho

Since you're at the end of your budget for this year start saving now for the eagerly awaited RC-10.

jup, thats sound like a great plan aswell. but it really depends what he wants to use the knife for. since he is looking at the Izula i'm thinking a small fixed blade. the RC-10 will be beast of a knife :D and might be too big for his intended use. ah well, you can't really go wrong with a RAT:cool:

haha I just looked at the pic of the RC 10 and it is a beast. Little bit of a jump from the izula, but a good lookin knife none the less. The idea of using it as a backup knife is right on the money for what I would use it for.

just buy a pink one :D
make people laugh and than laugh back that there to much of a chicken to have a pink knife :D:D

You just can't go wrong with an izula, for camp use or just edc use

and the only thing that you have to ask yourself when buying an izula is what colour you're going to buy it ;)

The Izula is amazing, you will not regret it. Doesn't matter what colour it is, you will not regret it.

The Izula is a lot of knife for its size, weight, harmless looks and also its price.
You can't go wrong with it.

The Izula is also a great usable knife that can be worn around the neck leaving room in your pockets, belt, pack etc. for other knives. It could be comfortably worn as a backup and not used at all but I doubt that will happen.

You will go look for things to cut, guaranteed. I often get accused (and wrongfully too) of cutting things when something is torn or chipped off.:D

Thank you for all the encouragement. haha I have gotten even more from watching youtube videos of the little guy in action. While I am still trying to save money I was thinking about getting a rat pack number and entering for the izula giveaway and see if I could get one there before I ended up buying one( because myself included know I will probably end up doing that)

Because the Izula is "the little knife that can"! It's small & compact but it can do a ton of work.:)

You have more discipline than I do. Once I got my RC-4, I couldn't wait to order an Izula. I still held out hope for winning the September give-away because two Izulas are better than one. Just remember, the October Izula is pink FWIW.
