I bought a Izula a couple weeks back and have been trying different methods of carry since then. I wanted a decent fixed blade(the Izula is perfect) to carry on my weak side and came up with this simple method.

I originally bought a ESEE-3MIL to start with and found it a little too big for what I wanted. It's now MOLLE clipped to my Maxpedition Sitka Gearslinger in which I carry my G19 and plethora of other crap.

I like to keep it light in the hot months. A simple t-shirt covers all my gear. Just thought I'd share. Sorry the pics suck.:(

The handle doesn't stick out too far to the side does it? Another option would be to carry in the same way, but with the knife in the small of your back so the whole thing could be centered and not stick out to one side. Re-sheathing would be interesting, but I'm sure with some practice could be done.

That's a great setup for the Izula. It's easily concealable, out of the way, and easy to get to.

The handle does stick out a little(not too far IMO) but it's invisible under a t-shirt. I actually like that it does that because I can get a good handle on it quickly. I also like it up front. It kind of reminds me of IWB appendix carrying a pistol.

I can't tolerate anything in the small of my back. Tried it with pistols, mags, flashlights, knives etc.. Doesn't work for me.

I may give that a try. My concern is that with a 30" waist (for now...) the end may protrude more so than somebody with a umm larger build. Did you find the cord was the easiest way to attach it to the belt, would one of the molle locks provided with the izula kit be to invasive?

If its a summer carry how do you carry your izula the rest of the time? Just curious

Cheers!

My waist isn't much bigger then yours but it is growing. The end may stick out too far for you, only one way to tell. The paracord works well but I'm probable going to try a tek-lok or make another sheath. I didn't try a MOLLE lock but I don't think I would like them on my belt. MY Izula is a new addition so I'll have to wait for winter to figure that out.:D
