If you were a contest winner of either a black or desert tan Izula then your order has been shipped. If you were a contest winner of any other color then it has not been shipped yet.

We also shipped initial orders of black and desert tan to dealers this week.

Some desert tan orders (dealers) are partially back ordered. We are sold out of the first run of Izulas. Shon is working his ass off to get more out and the other colors will also be in this run. I'm not sure on delivery at this point but will keep everyone updated as soon as we know something.

Izulas are very popular and I'm guessing the dealers who got shipments will be sold out pretty quick. We shipped Izulas in the order that we received orders from dealers. As a side note, some dealers have not even ordered Izulas yet. Before anyone asks, these are the dealers that have been shipped so far: Knives Ship Free, Knife Works, Two Wolves Outdoor, Blue Ridge Knives. More dealer shipment are coming and we will keep you updated.

All Fire Kit orders have been shipped to dealers who ordered them.
 
Good news,thanks for the update...That Derrick (KSF) is on top of it,as are a few others..I can't wait to EDC the Izula at work LOL !

We try to keep everyone informed. Sometimes it's not the new everyone wants to hear but at least we let everyone know. We just appreciate all of our customers for sticking with us through the delays.
 
Well, I have to say that I have never seen anyone do business like you guys do. I don't kiss ass, its not my style, but credit should be given to those who deserve it.
 
Not being egotistical but Mike and I made a vow when we started business a long time ago (1997) and that was to always be straight up and deal honestly with the customer,and always keep them informed. We've pissed off folks by being public about our business but so be it. THE CUSTOMER COMES FIRST! I got an email the other day from a customer that said (paraphrasing) "you guys didn't just break the mold when it comes to customer service and warranty, you blew it up."

We set out to revolutionize the way the knife industry does business. We (Rowen and RAT) have proven that you can make a high quality product in the United States for a reasonable price. We don't beat up on other knife companies but when they tell you they have to go overseas to compete, well, we say that's bullshit. They just need to change the way they do business here in the good ol' US of A.

We don't ask anyone to only do business with us. In fact, we encourage everyone to buy from others since there are a lot of great knives and good people in the industry (such as Ethan Becker and KaBar, SOG, Justin Gingrich, Ontario Knife Company and numerous others). This industry is pretty small when you really look at it.
 
I appreciate the way you guys do business.

I'm co-owner in a family-based electrical contracting business and my dad (who started the business) always taught us to:"Don't tell the customer what he wants to hear. Just tell him the truth."

We found it's always better in the long-run. Like telling a customer that you will be there tomorrow, knowing that you can't possibly be there, and not showing up, compared to saying that you can be there next week and being there. Which one is better?

This Izula is probably the nicest thing RC has done, in my opinion. This little package rocks!

I got my order in very early with Derrick for my Tan Izula kit, and SERE fire kit, so I hope to see them soon!!

Jeff you're preaching to the converted. RAT Cutlery customer service is second to none by a long shot.
 
Jeff. Have you shipped any izulas to Chestnut Ridge yet? Besides the tan kit I ordered for myself from Derrick I also ordered a black izula from CKRS for my brother for Christmas. Thanks. :D I can't wait to get these knives :thumbup:
 
Izulas shipped out to Chestnut Ridge yesterday. But again, to make it fair across the board for all dealers/distributors, we only shipped partial orders on the Desert Tan models that Chestnut Ridge ordered.

Thanks to all of you (especially Jeff and Mike) for your patience getting through this project. ALLOT of work and thought have went into this project and I think you all are going to be very pleased with the results. Looking forward to your input.

BTW - I think Jeff needs to do an IZULA T-Shirt to wear with these little beauty's. What say you all?
