izula folder

The Izula folder isn't even in production yet so...

By the prototype design I'd say it'll more than likely be for right handed people, but they might make a lefty version.

consitering other projects ... design evo ... etc .... i think it will be hard to give any solid details on this product ... at the moment its like projecting a new car model with only a 1 off prototype for the car show.... so sit down and relax , look up some other stuff , and Rc will tell us how its going....

Thanks for the thread - this is the first I've heard of an Izula folder (I've not been on the forum much lately), and I find the concept of a left-hand-specific folder interesting. Now I know to keep an eye out . . . thanks!

I am not speaking for the guys at RAT,but with other companies their has to be a big demand for them to do a 500-600 pc run and many times it takes them years to decide to do it.Just look at how popular the Spyderco Military is and how long it took them to do it in left hand.
I have no idea who the maker is for the folder so maybe a left hand run is not as hard to get running, just depends on the maker.
Not sure if RAT wants to say who is going to be producing it but it looks to me to be a design right up Kershaw's line of expertize.

Lazerboy2000: You do know it's not necessary to spam and reply to every thread ever made, right? Desperate for your RP number much?

Quality, not quantity, my friend. Thanks

Hmm Laserboy2000 are you saying that your 1070 posts were all "Quality" Maybe he is just excited for the Izula Folder! Or you must be the post Sheriff.

COOL!
As long as it is US made I am fine with who ever makes it.Give some people jobs so they can go out and by more US made stuff to make more jobs.

I hope they do, because I don't want to carry a right hand - knife.

I hope they do as well, because I won't carry a right hand knife, just to much trouble for me - I'll go with ambi, or left hand.

That said, I do really like the concept photos. It has a terrific, super clean, design without swoops, bevels, points etc all over the place.

Does anyone have a link to the thread with the 3d rendered concept version of the knife? I've looked but can't find it again.

maybe if we all email RAT with our order inquiry that will help move things along? Or, their heads will explode with annoyance. probably the latter. best to just sit patiently by the keyboard with a credit card handy for whenever they announce. I had to wait 8 months for the Spydie Bradley, I guess I can wait for this . ., . BUT NOT TOO LONG!!!!!

I'm wishing it comes out before the end of july, I'm thinking it would make an excellent companion for my trip to peru in the summer holidays.

but since the projected release date is "late 2010" I realise this has odds about as long as the chances of them developing teleporters, so I don't have to sit through the 12 hour flight.
I'll just have to get myself one of the other RATs to make up for it :o
