Izula for field dressing

I have a couple of questions for some of the people that have used the Izula for field dressing game. Do you reparacord the handle when it gets blood and stuff on it or does it clean up well or should I get a set of handles for it?

I would go scales for that application.

Paracord retains smell and doesn't really clean up and bare handles can be a little slippery.

There is a thread someplace where I took a few pictures field dressing a white tail with a paracord wrapped Izula. It's nasty. I didn't have any additional paracord, and no matter how I scrubbed in the stream I couldn't get the guts and fat out of the cord.

So I slapped some micarta on it.

Ive only gutted fish with mine. Paracord is a no go. I went for the micarta scales.

My guess is G10 izula scales from T-K-C.
